Day 3 - Gift Wrapping and Rudolf the Reindeer

This week we set our Christmas tree (though we don't celebrate Christmas, it is for New Year's Eve), and I felt like the time for gifts is getting closer! YAY! So I decided to have gift wrappings on my nails and remembered that Simply Rins had a reindeer design and a tutorial. Therefore, I had to have a Rudolf too. Here is this weekend's nails. :)
My index finger turned out really complicated, I didn't like it.
I thought that my thumb turned out the prettiest, I liked it a lot. :)
And here is my right hand, I didn't want to try so hard on it so I just painted them like shiny wrappings' colors. :)
Here is our tree and my gifts. :) Hopefully, there will be lots of gifts right where my fingers are in the left top photo. :)
Yes, this is my extremely pink room and computer, I decided to make a difference this week and took a picture of the polishes I used.
I used Essie - Watermelon and Pastel - 31 for my thumb, Pastel - 52 and Sephora - 51/Leather Boots for index, Pastel - 74 for middle finger, Flormar's white and acrylic paints for ring finger, Pastel - 37 for pinky, plus Flormar Nail Art white and gold and Flormar - 003 on top on all of them.

I hope you'll like it. :)

Day 2 - Poinsettias and Candy Canes Nails

Or day 4? I feel like I'm cheating since I don't even do proper designs and do two designs at once. Today's (or this weekend's?) nails have poinsettias and candy canes on them. And here is the problem, we don't celebrate Christmas here in Turkey, so I don't really know the traditions. I can picture stockings filled with candy canes hung over fireplace in my mind but I don't have a single idea between poinsettias and Christmas. I have thought of giving up on this challenge because of insufficiency of time and lack of viewers; but I'm not that kind of girl who'll just give up on everything she can't manage to do, not without trying harder. *I Will Survive enters*

This weekend I was SO uninspired, I failed at all my attempts of nail art. I guess that is why I hated this design. Enough with talking, here is this week's design.
I had candy canes, poinsettia-to-be's and candles. I even did some shading but with flash, they all seemed red.
Here is my lovely sweater and my nails. I liked this sweater a lot, so I thought it totally should be on my blog.

I used Flormar - 390 as the base color, but it left so many brushmarks so I sponged on the last layer. Paintings were done with acrylics.
This week, my exams will end and I might have time IN week to do nails. I know that I can't keep them for the next day, but it is the only way I can finish this challenge.
And YAY! for 2 members of my blog!

Day 1 - Snowmen AND Snowflake Nails

You might have heard about the new challenge, 12 Days of Christmas Manis. When I saw it on Sonoma Nail Art, I thought I totally should join it. And the thing I love the most about this challenge is that the rules are so free, you don't even have to do days in order or finish on time. Since I get to do my nails from weekend to weekend, I asked her if they would let me join and if I could do 2-3 topics at once. She told me that it was okay, so here I am with my "Snowmen AND Snowflake Nails".
This was my first attempt of using acrylic paints on my nails, so be easy on me. :)
This design was inspired by Simply Rins' Snowman Parade design. You should take a look at her's too, she also has a tutorial.
Look at how cute they both are! When I was photographing, I saw this white puffle and I was like, "OMG! I need a picture of them together, white puffle freezes stuff so they must look good together!" I am such a geek. :D
Experimenting with different angles. I think this photo turned out really artsy. :)
And to make you see how glittery this mani is. :) Excuse the wreckage on my index finger, it had a little accident till I took pictures and I couldn't fix it.

I used Flormar 423 as the base color, snowflakes and snowmen were done with acrylic paints and detailing brushes. The glitter polishes I used don't have a brand. After I did these nails, I realised how much I missed snow (AND holidays!).

I hope you'll like it :)
